PCMark 2005 Multi-threaded Tests
PCMark05 is everything you need to reliably and easily measure the performance of your PC and determine its strengths and weaknesses. With PCMark05, you will be able to select the optimal upgrades for your existing PC, or choose the right new PC that fits your specific needs. This easy-to-use product gives you the same tools and knowledge that virtually every professional tester in the industry uses.
The PCMark "multi-threading" tests should be more accurately called "multi-tasking" tests. In these two tests multiple applications are run concurrently to simulate real world, multi-tasking scenarios. The first test runs two applications, the second test runs four.

Clovertown puts on a pretty good show in these tests, especially considering the fact that it has the lowest per-core clockspeed of the bunch. The sad thing about this test is that it only scales to four threads. While running the second test, the Opteron and Woodcrest machines were pegged at 100% CPU load while Clovertown loped along at 50%.
