Stress Testing & Stability

Here at 2CPU.com, we always take the time to really put a piece of hardware through its paces so we can accurately guage its stability. A lot of other review sites will throw something on their test bench, install an operating system, run some benchmarks and call it a day. Not us.

The SuperServer 5015M-UR has been running constantly on my test bench for over a month now and I can safely say that it lives up to our expectations from a stability perspective. I didn't experience a single lock-up/freeze, random reboot or blue screen during my entire test period.

If you're looking for a 1U server that can help you achieve 99% availability in your data center, the 5015M-UR certainly fits the bill.

Conclusion

I love evaluating units like the 5015M-UR because it makes writing a conclusion very easy. As you can probably understand after reading the pages in this review that have covered off features, functionality, performance and stability, I have to give the Supermicro SuperServer 5015M-UR a ringing endorsement. It's a fantastic product; one of the nicest 1U servers I've used in my career (I've used hundreds, this is easily in my personal top-5). My next task will actually be trying to convince Supermicro to let me keep it for our next web server! ;)

If you're in the market for a 1U server, you owe it to yourself to take a look at this release from Supermicro.
