AMD64 and IA-32e Differences
Posted on: 03/02/2004 03:09 PM

Several people emailed me about a post over at Ace's Hardware about the differences betweeen AMD64 and IA-32e (Intel's x86-64 implementation). They were informed by a post by Jun Nakajima on the Linux-Kernel mailing list that there are several notable differences between the two. I won't bother pasting all the differences as you can browse the list from Ace's Hardware or the Linux-Kernel mailing list post.
