The Register is reporting that although AMD is in fact a Rambus licensee, it still isn't demoing products using that technology. Instead, they contend that DDR memory is the most cost effective solution. More importantly to us, they also showed a roadmap of its 760MP chipset.
Although great big green blocks on a timeline leave a certain ambiguity as to when we will see dual Athlon mobos, the slides indicate that the dual Socket A 266/200MHz bus boards will start to arrive this autumn, and also support both buffered and unbuffered DIMMS.
Ahhh, dual Athlon loving! I know Hooz is awefully excited about this. Check it out for yourself over here.
