CPU Steppings and recommendations

Update: I've been given infomation that contradicts the cA2 problems...

Ed Stroligo over at Overclockers.com has written up an interesting article on the lack of newer Coppermine CPUs in the market. This is very important because the early cA2 versions are NOT SMPable, only the newer cB0 ones seem to be working.

Intel is obviously aware of the problem, but for many possible reasons it has not done much about it yet, especially in the faster speed chips.

Take a look at the article and judge for yourself. I just got a PGA 600e so I hope that it's a cB0 and that I can get another one to go SMP with a Tiger 133.
