FreeBSD 6.1-RELEASE announced!

It has been <a href="http://www.freebsd.org/releases/6.1R/announce.html" target="_blank">announced</a> that <a href="http://www.freebsd.org" target="_blank">FreeBSD</a> <a href="http://www.freebsd.org/releases/6.1R/relnotes.html" terget="_blank">6.1-RELEASE</a> is ready for mass consumption. The new release brings several improvements to the table, including much-expanded SATA/SAS support, support for newer ethernet controllers, improved bluetooth support, improvements in file system stability and the usual raft of updates to the base-system software.

FreeBSD is available as CD images from many <a href="http://www.freebsd.org/doc/en_US.ISO8859-1/books/handbook/mirrors-ftp.html" target="_blank">FTP mirrors</a> as well as through <a href="http://torrents.freebsd.org:8080/" target="_blank">BitTorrent</a>.
