FreeBSD Popularity Contest

OSNews is discussing FreeBSD's popularity today. It is the most popular flavor of BSD, without a doubt. However, it still can't match up with certain distributions of Linux in this department. They have a poll available to try and find out why that might be the case. I'd suggest you run over and vote. I could have responded to the poll with two of their responses: 1) Other or 2) Not much momentum/advocacy. My second choice isn't even really the momentum part. It's making strides and it's moving forward. It's that word "advocacy" that really jumps out at me. The Linux community is so large, it just has that many more geeks out there pimping the product. Shall we discuss?
