Afraid to take that potentially dangerous plunge? You would like to give Linux a shot, but don't really know where or how to get started? Well the tweaking fr34ks over at Tweak3D.net have decided to hand hold you through your first Linux experience.
Linux - the tweaker's greatest hope. As many of you may already know, Linux is just about the most tweakable operating system available - you have control over everything. And when I saw everything, I mean everything - if you want to add or remove support for a feature from the kernel, all you have to do is change the source and recompile. Having control over everything your computer does is a refreshing thought - and can be extremely rewarding if everything is done right. And even if it isn't, we learn from our mistakes, do we not?
Amen Keith. People often tell me they'd like to get into Linux but are afraid to take that initial step. Don't worry about it! Backup your important data and go for it. It will be more rewarding then you can imagine. If you want to take the first step, check out the Install Guide
