Microsoft Releases Windows XP SP3 For Testing

Back in late summer, we reported that speculation of a would be Service Pack 3 for Windows XP (Home, Media Center Edition '04-'05, Tablet Edition 2005, Professional) would be in development from Microsoft despite the fact that Vista has hit the retail shelves at the turn of the year. The retirement of the OS (XP) has been discussed since Vista's launch for the business market.

The Service Pack 3 is rumored to receive back ported security measures from Vista and a few multimedia features as well. Not to mention, security roll up. Although Vista has been shipping for the past year, Vendors from Dell to HP have offered the alternative operating system (XP) to their customers for their satisfaction. Post OS support seems to be plan for MS.
