Promise Ultra100 review

Dave over at SystemLogic.net has reviewed the nice Promise Ultra100 IDE controller:
Backwards compatibility is also a big issue, you can use anything on the Promise card, even the old ATA/33 CD-ROM you have in the closet or the 5400 RPM Maxtor you're using now. Anything that uses ATA/33, ATA/66, ATA/100, or ATAPI can utilize the channels on this card. There is a controller chip integrated on this card that allows you to use 2 simultaneous transfer ports without slowing down transfers, this is an effective way to connect multiple devices and have them running at full speed or as fast as the PCI bus allows.
As the happy owner of an Ultra66 i can attest to the quality, reliability and speed of these cards.
