As per usual, Slashdot comes up with some decent linkage. The Wall Street Journal interviewed Linus, and covered the expected topics: 2.4, and Linux hitting the desktop, among other things.
"Windows is still a no-brainer for most people", he said, adding it will take Linux "perhaps five or ten years" to catch up, at least for home-computer users. But he said average business users might move to Linux sooner, perhaps by next year.
Linus believes that the "new Linux" (2.4) will compare really well with its rivals, namely Windows and other versions of Unix. I look forward to its release, but while we wait you might as well read this.
