Cnet.com is reporting that AMD will debut its "high-performance version" of its Athlon, the Thunderbird, on Monday.
The new processor marks AMD's first foray into copper, rather than aluminum, circuitry. Because copper conducts electricity better then aluminum, the chips run cooler. This gives AMD the opportunity to make faster versions in the future.
All indications are that these processors are gonna smoke, I just wish they'd hurry up and give us some AMD dual-loving already... It's coming, oh yes, it's coming! Read all about it over here.
