Tyan Tiger 133 Review #2
Posted on: 06/15/2000 02:57 PM

Electic Tech have a review of the Tiger 133 posted. Everyone has been a tad bit anxious regarding this motherboard of late. In part due to the mixed information that's been floating around the industry. The board they reviewed does have 4 dimm slots and was stamped as a rev E apparently. Let's see how there board did...
The Tyan has excellent features but most of them lead to unreliable performance at this stage so they really serve no purpose. If the board was more stable and more robust in performance the use of these features might be justified.
It is very important to note that they are not using the new BIOS promised by Tyan. This will hopefully resolve a lot of the initial problems we've been seeing with the Tiger 133. Electic Tech will be updating their review once they receive the new BIOS, and of course we'll be getting a board in the near future and Hooz will be all over that...
