This popped up over at Anandtech. VIA sent out the press release regarding their new, upcoming DDR chipsets for PIII/celeron and Socket-A processors.
The VIA Apollo Pro266 is the first chipset on the market to enhance the performance of single and dual Intel Pentium III processor based systems with its support for the new generation of high-speed DDR266 DRAM. To provide a smooth migration path for existing system designs, it also supports PC133 and VCM DRAM.
This is a long PR, so to check out the rest, take a spin over here.
