When Benchmarks Lie...

Ed over at Overclockers.com has a dandy of an article stemming from his experiences with benchmarking using Winbench and Winstone. Apparently running Winbench after Winstone inflated the scores measureably and repeatedly. Ed's at a loss as to why this is happening, and i've got nothing to add after reading the article:
"I got some big differences in some of the testing, and it took me a while to figure out why. What I found was the Viagra for Winbench. Both Winstone and Content Creation pumped up Disk Winmarks a lot, and that effect only went away if I doused it with the cold water of some other Winbench tests. If I didn't dowse, the effects lingered."
Find out the gory details here.
