Windows Magazine and "Free Be"

Windows Magazine has posted their take on the announcement that BeOS v5 will be freely available. They even compare it a bit to Win2k and Linux. It's a pretty interesting (but short) read. Here's the obligatory clip...
If you don't know what the BeOS is, allow me to detour. BeOS, now in rev. 4.5, is a very powerful and well-made operating system that takes lessons from both Windows and Macintosh's design and Linux's architecture. It's primarily designed for multimedia creators -- people who do audio, video, Web sites, or all of the above -- and was originally developed for the Mac before being ported to Intel hardware.
