We're not all about tooting our own horn around here, but since they brought it up the other day... I thought it would be appropriate to point out that our Folding@Home team has replaced Tech Report's team as the #10 team overall!

Congratulations people! Keep Folding for the cause!

I just added a couple of my machines to the mix Saturday. I had been running SETI@Home for years but since it is winding down this seemed to be the next best distributed effort around to join. I put my XP1800+/nForce2 game rig and a Duron 1.2/KM266 toy (E-mail machine) in the mix. I probably won't add the dual MP 1800+, though, as I don't run it 24/7 and the noise/power are excessive, too. Got a couple of K6-III+ 600 MHz machines I could add if they can contribute anything worthwhile. Can someone point me to a site that shows the relative potential of various CPU's on this project?

First off welcome to the team, glad to have ya aboard. I have a dual PII 300 that folds within the time limit so most any box will help out (especially a dually MP1800, hint, hint ;) )

Well I finally started, so theres 4 24*7 processors for ya, and maybe I'll add my smaller machines too.

seventeen or bust's, servers just aren't up enough to feed my little cluster.

Now I have to re-do my mrtg scripts to graph the progress of it. Well it looks like they put out the progress info in a way that it'll be easy to get for mrtg.

That's great!!!
I added my P3 800, P4 1.7 and my Dual 1900+ to the mix for both F@H and 2CPU folding efforts.

Great to see the "rumble" has started!

Yes the little machines can participate in Folding at home as long as they run 24/7 and don't really do anything. I've got a quad PPro 166 running clients and it finishes everything they send to it within the project expiration date. And here is the list of current projects and expiration times. http://folding.stanford.edu/psummary.html

Um, even my P60 with the FDiv Bug? (yeah I really have one, that runs, and is in my rack (as in my ghetto made of 2x4s rack).

I think its a little unfair since everyone at 2CPU is running duallies, get twice as much folding done per box LOL

I think I'm gunna get my ass into gear and start... make my dual 2400+ chips do some work. How do I do this?

I started with the first machine on Sunday and now have all three folding.

The dual machine is running 4 folding programs (hyper-theading).

Each of the others is also running. All are 24/7.

The best part is my daughter thinks I'm saving the world.

Did you download the text only or GUI client? You need to use the text only for duallies so you can run 2 instances.
