Big things have been happening with Hewlett Packard. HP purchased long time network corporation, 3Com in 2009 to add to their new portfolio of Networking products, ProCurve. In an attempt to show case their new portfolio of enterprise network solutions, the company has decommissioned all of its Cisco equipment from it's data centers. This is the start of a new rivalry between HP and Cisco as they battle for space from the SMB to Enterprise sector.

![]() A good way to find the limitations, missing features and bugs is to have others in the org use the products. If it can't work for big HP, how do they expect us to use it ? I'd still keep some the Cisco gear for comparison but use a third party to keep arms length and hide from Cisco. |
