AMD: Because Three are better than two?

While the obvious slogan around this site is that "2 are better than 1". Advanced Micro Devices have taken it to another level. Intel launched their Quad-Core last year. The alternative solution if you can't go quad? Go for three! The new Phenom processor with 3 cores will also have 2MB of L3 cache along with HTT 3.0 technology. The company is looking to stay one step ahead of the Dual-Core competition for multitasking duties on the desktop. However, power consumption figures and board compatibility and pricing have not been announced.
