Core 2 has been in development for a while - and new development cost a lot, but once the technology is out, I think Intel will do quite nicely - For everything I seen Intel has done there homework on this technology. Its going to be different game now. I would expect that Intel is building up a massive inventory of Core 2 products, because they believe its going to make them money. Core 2 technology sounds like it cost less money to manufactor, that is why they can sell for less - because more chips can be built on same piece of material. I would think it be silly to purchase an Intel box with out Core 2 - that is one of reasons that sales are lower, because they are waiting on core 2. I still have AGP on my main system and going Dual Woodcrest on the news of this technology - because this is first advancement since last of AGP machines that is worth investing into. Just my opinion - no finacial wizard - just somebody who desires upgrading to new technology.
