Folding@Home: Recruiting Drive!
Posted by: Hooz on: 12/12/2004 03:20 PM [ Print | 7 comment(s) ]
It's time once again for a Folding@Home recruiting drive. I was informed by OC-XEONS that our team's fifth place spot is in jeopardy! We need YOUR help!
We have been holding off Ars' Team Eggroll for quite a while, but due to the recent loss of some of our biggest folders, they are gaining on us quickly. Right now the stats say that the Ars team will (egg)roll past us in 135 days if we don't step up the production.
Our team has the fewest active folders of any team in the top ten (which is a pretty major deal in itself), but every CPU counts! If you have some machines you can donate to the cause, we could really use them! Drop on by the F@H forum if you have any questions or if you need installation instructions.

![]() In case anyone is wondering - you can set and forget the folding clients to run invisibly in the background and you'll never even know they are there. The folding program only uses your CPU when you are not and so does not interfere. Check out the folding forum for instructions. To monitor your progress you can follow the stats on various web sites. 2cpu Team Stats on Stanford or the more detiled 2cpu Team Stats on ExtremeOverclocking My user stats on Stanford My individual stats on ExtremeOverclocking Track your stats, climb the ladder, contribute to the science and have some fun!
