Intel EOLs 533MHz FSB Xeon CPUs

The Register is stating that Intel has announced the demise of all 533MHz FSB Xeon processors. *sniff*
Out go Xeon DPs clocked at 2.4GHz up to 3.2GHz, all with 1MB of L2 cache, along with a 3.2GHz version with 2MB of cache. The EOL notice affects both boxed and tray-mounted processors.You can read more over here.

I hope they EOL the entire netburst line before too long and get on with the Dothan class chips. There will be lots of 533 processors available for quite some time in the surplus hardware channels and the prices won't fall very fast either as long as the demand is still there.
