![]() Personally, I really wish they would have returned to either: a.) "Windows NT" + a version number ("Windows NT 6" in this case I suppose) or b.) "Windows" + a year ("Windows 2006") The name "Windows Vista" sounds like a good name to me (certainly better than "XP"), but my problem is that there is nothing inherent in it that indicates that it is the version of Windows directly after XP. Even "Windows YQ" would have been better. It sounds stupid, but it makes more sense. ->Computers ->Folding for team 3074 |

![]() As far as the other company that already has a trademark on "Vista"...Microsoft will probably do the same thing they did in the case of Lindows. They'll shop around (the world if necessary) until they find a friendly court to rule that they are allowed to steal somebody else's trademark just because they have better than 90% operating system penetration! ![]() I doubt it will make it all of the way through the court system. Vista will probably end up just going the way of CompuGlobalHyperMegaNet. "Buy him out boys!" The pathetic state of our government will never change unless we stop electing politicians and start electing public servants. Remember: There was once a time when the term "politician" had a very negative connotation. |
