Amdmb.com have had a look at the MSI dual AMD board, the K7D Master-L. This is one of the more attractive MPX boards feature wise due to optional onboard LAN and AGP Pro slot.
Lots of benches including pages of game benches just to prove that SMP systems don't make today's games run faster. You'll find the review right here.
The MSI offering is a good one. In all respects, the MSI K7D Master-L motherboard matches the Tyan Tiger MPX including performance, stability and compatibility. Even better, the MSI K7D Master-L motherboard gives you a little extra in the form of an ability to overclock (though very slight) your MP processors and get the most from your system. However, I think the reviewer loses the plot when this line is produced:
The fact that the first versions of the MSI K7D Master-L ship with an external USB 2.0 card just adds on to the value you get with MSI’s board. However, because AMD recently fixed their problem with the south bridge on the chipset in regards to USB (1.1), a future version may no longer have that freebie in them in order to cut costs to the end user.Of course. That's exactly what I thought when I heard of a USB 2.0 card being included. Wow! What extra value! Not: "at least some compensation for no onboard USB and I didn't really want all those PCI slots anyway". Oh no. Not that. I wouldn't have thought that.....
