The Iwill DVD266-R is a solid dual socket 370 solution. With the standard memory settings, stability was quite good, but as I noted, some of these tweaks can cause some wanted stability issues – especially for a server or workstation.Go figure. I never had any stability problems whatsoever as a result of using "Enhanced-0T" during my review period. Of course I was using amazing Registered/ECC PC2100 from Corsair.

What kind of review was that??? Why doesn't anyone really test anything? Give various views. How about testing the board with 866's and 1Gigs. Test the raid and see what a Promise TX does side by side. They only used one drive on a raid board. Raaaahhhhh. Use a couple of 60GXP's and set next to an old set of Maxtors for fun. "From this to this" sort of thing. Why test with 1600 ram only. Stick in some 2100 and run again. Show the results. Give some comparisons that might show variety and give us something the speculate with. Building a DVD system now. Dual 1's, 512Mb, dual 40's on a TX, Gloria III video, blah, blah, blah. That beast is going to rock for a few years. Someone link me to the benchmarks and I'll give you a real life review when all my parts come in... |
