She Said Yes!

Posted by: Jim on: 07/07/2003 04:18 AM [ Print | 154 comment(s) ]

As a lot of you probably know, I've been dating Alicia for almost two years now. Originally we started out with a long long distance relationship and I would regularly travel ~8 hours (one way) to spend time with her. Thankfully, in April I was able to get a job much closer to her and since my move, we've been spending every weekend together.

On the 4th of July, under the stars and minutes before an array of fireworks blazed across the night sky, I popped the question and asked her to be my wife. She said "Yes, of course!" and by doing so firmly planted a smile on my face indefinitely.

Not everyone is fortunate enough to fall in love with and marry their best friend. I thank God every single day for bringing her into my life. Since you folks have been like family to me over the past several years, I felt the need to share the wonderful news with you all. :-)

/me looks at the callander - it's been "almost two years" for me and my girl friend too... what does this mean? Am I forced to marry her so soon only to compete with the great Jim_ and be "cool". Moral dilemma!!!!

Ahahah, I'm just pulling your leg... Congrats Jim_ and Alicia!!!!

PS: though, it has been almost two years for me and my girl too - dun duN DUN

Congratulations, Jim! (You poor slob, you've no idea what you've just got yourself into...)

Thus far, you have been adrift within the sheltered harbor of my patience. Heat All of my heatware comes from Transactions on this board. 2CPU.com is the only board I trade on. I can provide references from other board members on request.

Getting married to your best friend is the best thing you can do. They'll drive you nuts like no one else can, but it's worth it! Congrats!
