In search of some news for you SMPers today I ventured over to AMDZone (who we recently passed in RC5 by the way *cough*). What did I find? How about a review of Tyan's Tiger MPX done up by Chris Tom.
I also noticed a link to a review of MSI's K7D Master-L at AMD3d.com. Let's start with what Chris had to say:

Tyan has again created an excellent dual Athlon board with their update to the Tiger MP. The 760MPX chipset has proven to perform a bit better, and it adds support for 66MHz 64-bit PCI. The stability of the board is top notch as expected, and the price isn't too bad...AMD3d.com?
Well, it's my first dual processor motherboard for AMD processors that I've tested. I'm happy to say that the MSI K7D Master-L was a dream to intall, configure and use. Windows XP installation went through without any annoy error messages, and all the drivers installed smoothly without a glitch. I must say it's the most stable motherboard I've tested so far.Hooz's review of the Tiger MPX is here for comparison if you've forgotten who your daddy be.

![]() interrestingly AMDZONE claims to have tested the tyan mpx board with a gforce3. They used 23.10 and 27.20 drivers and they claim not to have crashed once. Interresting ![]() To live is to die. |

![]() So, on that board at least, no on board USB. Still - at least you do get onboard LAN to save you the ports. Looks like the TYAN still had the physical ports in the other review - wonder if they are useable (at your own risk)?
