The 230T sounds excellent. Since you guys are Tyan reviewers I hope you get the board if you don't have it allready.

We would love to more than just "Tyan reviewers", but the other big companies don't talk to us. Maybe we should organize a "Send stuff to 2CPU.com" email campaign so you guys can let Supermicro, Asus, etc know what you'd like to see on here :D

Bah! I would like to see a very riggable board supporting workstation and servers. Seems like it's one or the other here. I want a mix.

P.S. Throwing us a couple of curves is good, such as DDR/RDRAM, new technology etc... instead of the vanilla SDRAM. ;)

Well Tyan is open minded to the opinion of the 2cpu community. Unlike some companies Cough*assus*Cough , ahem yes Tyan is a good company.

I don't really remember seeing any Supermicro reviews around...maybe they're out there, but not a lot. I think with Asus
you kinda have to give them a good review or else.

Why the hayle would they drop the AGP slot in place of an ISA(on the Tiger 200T)??... A very bad move IMO. It was almost perfect...::sigh::...

Why should they add an AGP slot if there is already onboard video???? Its a entry level server board not some dummy down dual board for ppl to go play with. If you want a AGP slot then maybe you need the 230T. That was the point in having the 230T in the first place.

Na, dont want 230T. It has no RAID....like i said the 200T would have been perfect if they left the AGP right where it was rather than remove it for an ISA(the original 200 had it so why not now?). Anyway it was just an observation so i'm done with it.

Take a look at Tyan's site, the 230T definitely has an option for IDE RAID, it's even shown on the picture of the board. Check it out here.
