What's Happening with Vista?!

Just when you think you have it all figured out, Microsoft pulls the rug out from under you. Jim Allchin, copresident of the Platforms & Services Division at Microsoft, pulled the proverbial rug out from under an entire industry last night. It was well after the closing stock-market bell when Allchin and Microsoft announced that Vista would not ship in 2006. Make no mistake, moving Vista into 2007 will have painful repercussions throughout the industry. But did he really say that?
